Just saw it for the first time a few minutes ago. Acura, fire your marketing team.

Murdering the Acura Marketing Team after having to sit through one of their commercials and then living in a non-extraditing country for the rest of your life only to be caught when you bring your car to get serviced because you decided to get an Alfa for the soul and passion but in a country with no dealer maintenance network and you get gunned down while you tried to drive off but you couldn't get the car into the correct gear because it's an Alfa and it thinks its transmission is a cauliflower.
It's that kind of thrill.

I went to Minneapolis this weekend. I can't tell you how many of those things I saw while I was there, but it was too many.

There isn't anything about cars in a butt dial event. (imo)

EXACTLY. They try to make it look like a butt dial/answer/whatever but she INTENTIONALLY took the call. Like wut.

We won't go into Employment Quotient or Executive Assistance Potential, because that would be abusive.

Acura consistently produces the absolute worst commercials.

So I just saw this on TV for the first time after watching the link you posted here. The one I saw was a cutdown version, and they left out the shot where she deliberately presses the button to answer the phone. It only plays slightly better...

The idea wasn't bad... In my opinion, it was just poorly executed.
Acura tried to jump on the popularity of this 17M view video of this guy's wife rapping in the car, and failed.
It kind of worked for Nissan when they jumped on this dude's videos. I think the difference was, the commercial stood on it's own without needing to know the back story.
